Conducted full structural integrity assessment of aging topside modules on the Elgin-Franklin platform following fatigue crack detection in primary load-bearing joints. Developed a finite element model to simulate operational and environmental loading conditions, identified critical failure points, and engineered a reinforcement solution using high-strength clamp assemblies — eliminating the need for full module replacement and extending the platform's operational life by an estimated 12 years.

Clair Ridge Development: Subsea Pipeline Thermal Expansion Study (West of Shetland, United Kingdom)
Led the thermal expansion and pipe stress analysis for a 14km subsea pipeline tie-back connecting the Clair Ridge development to the BP-operated hub. Resolved a critical pipeline walking issue caused by cyclic temperature fluctuations by designing a dual-anchor bulkhead system and optimizing insulation coating specifications. Deliverables reduced projected maintenance interventions by 40% over the pipeline's 25-year design life.

Chevron Blind Faith Semisubmersible: Mooring System Upgrade (Garden Banks Block, Texas OCS, Gulf of Mexico)
Redesigned the mooring chain and connector system on Chevron's Blind Faith semi following inspection findings of accelerated corrosion and wear on four of the twelve mooring legs. Engineered a like-for-like replacement specification using R5 grade studless chain with enhanced corrosion inhibitor coating, developed the installation load-out and tensioning procedure, and provided on-site engineering support during the offshore campaign — restoring full station-keeping integrity and avoiding a potential regulatory-mandated production suspension.

BP Mad Dog Spar: Topside Structural Modification for Phase 2 Tie-In (Green Canyon Block 826, Texas OCS, Gulf of Mexico)
Led the structural modification engineering for the existing Mad Dog spar to accommodate new production tie-in risers as part of the Mad Dog Phase 2 expansion. Assessed deck load margins, redesigned riser support framing and I-tube assemblies, and produced the full engineering package for offshore execution. The modification enabled a 140,000 BOE/day capacity increase without requiring a new platform installation, delivering significant capital savings to the operator.
